The Emergence of Spring on the Ranch
The transition from winter to spring is officially underway on the ranch. Shoots of green, longer days, warmer sunlight, more and more birds, waterfowl, and wildlife appearing on the ranch, and . . . the arrival of our first bison calves.
As much as we love winter, after the intense, intense cold of February and March, shedding a few layers while working on the ranch has been nice.
And with the ground thawing and getting drier, we have started tackling our quite long list of spring projects.
In Montana, spring, of course, is a relative term. Yesterday, for example, it was 27 degrees and snowing sideways at times at the ranch.
But the inspiring and unpredictable Montana spring is here
To Spring!
