A Field-to-Table Photo Essay
When it comes to eating food, every single one of us has blood on our hands.
This is an incontrovertible fact.
The only question is whether you live in a world of conscious awareness — or in an animated Disney movie.
Here, we choose awareness, and the end result is humane, beautiful, and healthy (both for your body and for the planet).

Simple food.
Food that’s deeply connected to the natural world.
And — not surprisingly — it’s delicious.

A couple of months ago the photographer Dave Gardner came out to the ranch to photograph a field-harvest.
It started with us driving out to the bison herd, and it ended with a beautiful bison carcass heading into the cooler for dry-aging at the Amsterdam Meat Shop west of Bozeman.

We also believe strongly in transparency; hence this blog post.
This whole thing requires a lot of hard work, and we believe deeply in what we’re doing here.
Onward.
