Half Bison (Deposit)
Our humanely field-harvested, grassfed bison meat is on a different level when it comes to the health and taste of our bison meat, the treatment of our animals, and the sustainability of our practices. (Learn more on our How It Works page.)
For the nuts and bolts of ordering a half bison, here’s the process:
Place your deposit below.
Matt will then contact you via e-mail within a day or two to let you know when he expects to field-harvest your bison.
Free delivery in the greater Bozeman / Big Sky / Livingston area. Free shipping to anywhere in Montana, Idaho, Wyoming, North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Utah, Oregon, Washington, and Colorado. For all other states, we just ask to be reimbursed for the shipping fee (we don’t upcharge at all).)
Upon delivery, you will be charged the rest of your balance for your bison. Your balance due will be $12.55 / lb. based on the hot hanging weight of your half bison — minus your $1,750 deposit. (This amount varies from bison to bison, but it’s usually around $3,500 or so, and you receive around 175 - 225 lbs of bison meat.)
Separately, you’ll also be responsible for paying our butcher directly for your processing fee via an online invoice (approximately $350 - $450).
If you have any questions about any of this, please do not hesitate to e-mail or call Matt at info@northbridgerbison.com or 406-223-1950.
Fire up your grill or put your favorite cast iron skillet on the stove and get ready to enjoy the most delicious, healthy, responsibly sourced meat you’ve ever sunk your teeth into.

Customized Half Bison
Because half of the bison is yours, you can have it butchered any way you’d like.
Following field-harvest, the head butcher at our meat processor (Ryan) will call you to talk through how you want your bison half cut up.
The sky’s the limit here — tomahawk ribeyes, whole tenderloin, burger patties, smoked bison brats, snack sticks, bison jerky, brisket, skirt steak, all of the other typical steaks and roasts — you can customize it to your tastes and what you like to eat.
Our customers absolutely love the ability to customize their bison, and they love working with Ryan to come up with the plan for how their side of bison will be butchered.
